After switching lenses several times with no improvement, I was demonstrating the issue to my wife without a lens attached. Immediately the shutter stopped getting stuck! I reattached the kit lens, and another lens, and still the camera has been fine.

Subaru will not repair the wire but instead recommend replacing the entire bill head harness which is a $1700+ job. I was able to repair the wire myself in about 5 mins once the bumper was off.
